SNCR Excellence Award /Corporate Division Bestowed on Network Solutions with Livingston Communications

Herndon, VA – December 4, 2008 – The Society for New Communications Research (http://www.sncr.org), a global nonprofit think tank focused on the latest developments in new media and communications, announced that Network Solutions® with Livingston Communications won the 2008 SNCR Excellence in New Communications Award for  Online Reputation Management/Corporate Division. The award was given at the 3rd Annual SNCR Research Symposium & Awards Gala held at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge Mass. on Friday, November 14th.

Network Solutions has aggressively moved into the online space to listen to and interact with its customers.  By responding to posts, micro posts on Twitter, and forum comments, the company has increased its positive reputation online by approximately 20 percentage points, while reducing the negative tone of general conversation by more than 10 percentage points. The program compliments the company’s Solutions Are Power blog (http://blog.networksolutions.com) and has since been augmented with a social video conference series and online communities.

“We know our customers are online, and that they want us to interact with them using social media tools,” said Shashi Bellamkonda, Social Media Swami, for Network Solutions. “By listening to the proverbial voice of our customer, Network Solutions has reengaged its buyers in a better more fulfilling relationship.”

Livingston Communications was the social media agency of record that helped Network Solutions create its reputation management strategy and methodology.

The Society’s prestigious awards program honors individuals, corporations, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and media outlets that are pioneering the use of social media, ICT, mobile media, online communities, virtual worlds, and collaborative technologies in the areas of business, media, journalism and professional communications, entertainment, education, social initiatives, government and politics. This year the Society’s Fellows reviewed nearly 100 case study submissions.
