We are excited to announce that we will soon release an updated version to our eCommerce v7.x software.

New Feature Highlights of this version include:

* = Ecommerce PRO version ONLY

• * Custom Product Layout Design – This feature gives our advanced clients with HTML skills to add and arrange product components (such as images, buttons, prices, descriptions, etc.) to create a custom product layout.
• *Bulk Price Adjustments – This will allow you to change all product pricing in bulk by entering a markup in dollar or percentage.
• Email A Friend – Gives store owners the ability to display an ‘Email a Friend’ within each product page.
• Order Editing – Store owners will have the ability to edit customer information on orders (Billing, Shipping and email information).
• Resend Order Confirmation – You will now have the option to resend the confirmation email after any changes have been made to your customer’s order.
• Order Customization – The MCP and Storefront will support order confirmation variables so you can customize the order confirmation screen.
• *Invoice Customization – The MCP will now support the ability to customize key elements of the invoice, including the logo, layout, and some content
• * Payment Processing – Adding C.O.D and In-Store Payment methods to the Offline Payment choices.
• Payment Surcharge - Adding a surcharge field to each Payment Method for the store owner to set an additional charge for using a certain payment method (Credit Card Processing Fee, for example).
• *Product Reviews - Give your customers the ability to rate and review your products, as well as the service they received from your business.
• *Shopping (Wish) Lists - Your customers will have the ability to create a list of products they want from your store, and email that list to their friends (and much more).
• Featured Products Display – Display the best selling products, highest rated products, or any type of featured products on the storefront.
• *Storefront Design – Function Calls will now be available in the MCP, which allows the store owner to further customize the look and functionality of their site.

We’ve also made UI Improvements as well as some miscellaneous additions and fixes. Full release details will be available in the next couple weeks which will include the full list of corrected defects as well as all other improvements.

The eCommerce v7.2 software will be released Saturday March 15, 2008. The update process will begin at 10:00 pm EST and will continue throughout the evening. Although your site will be taken offline during the upgrade process, the downtime will be minimal.

The following is a list of some of the known issues that will be included in this release to go along with the features listed above. You can also check our manual for updates on the functionality of new features tomorrow during the release.

* 55017: mcp - import/export - variation export does not show all the variation options
* 55154: storefront - product list - cannot purchase products from product lists when no changes are made to the advanced tab
* 51416: MCP - Sales Report showing store cost of zero for products with variations
* 54796: storefront - sitemap - product name does not update on the sitemap
* 57987: mcp - import/export - importing an invalid csv shows free shipping specification twice
* 55183: On Sale icon not appearing on products with variants
* 55305: MCP - Products - SEO friendly URL does not update on cloned products
* 55307: Sales Report - If site has variant only products they do not appear in sales report
* 55309: Product Sales Report - Apostrophe in product name causes product not to display
* 54411: QB Integration - syncing fails if more all 5 custom fields are already defined for items in QB
* 55239: Standard - Paypal Express checkout with international address
* 55037: mcp - import/export - importing a csv needs to remove special/unallowed characters
* 54723: mcp - product - product sort order does not allow negative values
* 54102: Order Management - Cannot move from Payment Rec'd to Shipped
