Hello everyone,

For those of you who don't know, my name is J.D. Pohlman, and I've recently been appointed Product Manager of E-Commerce. I wanted everyone to know a little more about me, and what I'll be doing in my new role.

For those of you who have been around a while, you might know me from the forums. Those of you who have been around since 2003 might remember talking to me on the phone in Tech Support. I've been around this company longer than just about anyone else, and have an intricate knowledge of how this company works. For those of you who don't know me, I am extremely customer-focused. I have been around in the forums since the day it was created, and read almost every post. I don't post to everything, but I do see just about everything. I take pride in what I do, and knowing that I am always doing the best I can to help our clients do the best THEY can.

So, after being in a lot of different roles within the company, I have been given the task of Product Manager. That means I will be part of the team to help lead the direction of E-Commerce. What does this mean for you? It means that you will have someone with you in mind to help make the decisions about how to improve your online business. I will take feedback from the forums, in conjunction with a lot of other channels, to help decide what will be the best solution for most of our clients. When I ask for feedback, that feedback will help drive how a particular feature is implemented. But I want you all to know that what gets decided to be in a release will always have all of you in mind. After all, we can't succeed unless your business succeeds, right?

Right now is an exciting time with our platform. We have recently released a new Pro version of our cart, written completely from the ground up. By doing so, we now have the ability to maintain a reliable platform that gives us the opportunity to implement new features quickly. Our previous version, 4, was maxed out on what we could do with it. We are making quite a few changes to 7, so all the important features of 4 are implemented. We are adding new features that are simpler to use than version 4, but still accomplish the same flexibility. We are also adding new functionality that will help your business grow. My vision to get everyone on version 7 so we can all grow together.

So now that everyone knows some background information on me, along with my new role, feel free to offer any feedback via a PM or a post to let me know. Good luck in running your online business!
