I want to create a custom design to fit in with our site we have. I don't want to use a pre=built template anymore. How do I do that? I don't see any link that says custom template. None of them will fit into our design. We don't mind using the pre-built buttons, but the designs....no.

Mainly we need to utilize our banner, and when we use the pre-built designs, our banner is cut in half.
Our site is www.autismillinois.org

Thanks

Hey cbitsas.
The simplest way to do this is to grab a template that is closest to what you want to use and then redesign it to fit your needs. You can do quite a bit of redesign - especially with the new layout features.

If you take a look, I cannot take that blue part at the top out.

There is a blue section on the left and the right, and I need them to be gone.

Thanks for any help.

Try going to Home > Design > Site Design > Styles, then on the Colors tab, look for Header Color. If it's blue, then change it to white. I hope this helps.

That worked, but now I am getting a runtime error when I try get in to the ecommerce section now.

Here is what I do to get this error:

Login
Ecommerce Link
Go button
Error

Server Error in '/MCP' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="Off"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
<system.web>
<customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
</system.web>
</configuration>

Strange.
