(IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) I am a newbie and need help. I have a client that wants the ability to upload her own event & 'specials' content without having to 'code' a page and upload the entire page file. She needs a web GUI that allows her to select content off her hard drive to upload and indicate where on a specific page the content will be displayed. An example would be a home page with a box where "weekly specials" are displayed. The end-user wants to be able to change out those weekly specials without the use of a web developer.

What is the best design method to accomplish this? Use a frame on the home page and have them FTP to the address of the frame? As mentioned, I am new and know there must be several ways to skin this cat...I am not to aware of them yet.... Any and all help is appreciated!

I assume you are using NS web-builder? What you need is a web application that's not available in it. The closest thing I could think of is an RSS feed, which of course comes off of another website. Dynamic content is a 10 second load if you're given finished copy & graphic... No matter what the data must wind up in an accessible file from the host. Those applications you have to build out of dreamweaver or something similar... Better yet is to offer an inexpensive dynamic access fee & you load it when she emails data, or you can give her access to the file system with instructions...
