I am looking to add a blog on the website for the owner to post on and was wondering how to go about this. Any tips or ideas?

Yes. You will want to add the blog on a separate hosting account using a sub-domain of some sort.
http://www.example.com/ - the store
http://blog.example.com/ - the blog
This will be the best option.
You can get a hosting plan with Network Solutions or whomever you would like. Our PHP hosting plans come with an option for one-click install for Wordpress.(IMG:http://www.tqlkg.com/image-3031453-10437032.gif)

Is there any talk about adding a blogging feature to the E-Commerce plat form? I would think that having to add a sub domain, manage that seperate account, and link it to my standard Pro-E Commerce could be a lot of extra work and it is an added cost.

Thank you,

Building and posting to a blog would be a good chunk of extra work whether it was in a separate account or built into your e-commerce package. But the idea has been submitted and discussed.

To my thought process, a blog application is not a plug-in to be added to an e-commerce site, but an application all it's own with which you can build a variety of blog sites (and some that are non-blogs, but blogish). Most blog software can even have independent plug-ins of their own.

But better integration between an e-commerce site and a blog is a good idea whether it's the same application or not. It is on our list of suggested features but there's no definitive plans at this time. Until that point, you can have a wordpress blog installed on a hosting account with us and access them both through your account manager. Thanks!

Maybe NetSol could offer "plug-ins" in the future for blogs and forums that have the second hosting package already included in the package. You could take this one step further and include/purchase an additional domain....

It could be something like this..

Purchase of forum software - $150 (one time fee).
Yearly hosting with domain - $125.
Set up fee(if you have ecommerce account) $50.00

Renewal rates - $125

I'm not an expert by any means, but I am finding it challenging to create sub-domains, integrating blogs, etc.
