I have almost no experience in setting up a new website. I've chosen a template, colors, fonts, etc. and I've added a number of products (with categories). I'd like to see how the storefront looks before spending too much more time adding products. Yet I keep getting error messages when I click on "view storefront."

Timeout while processing rule. Please check your configuration file.

I've not yet been able to see what the storefront will look like, and I'm clearly missing some important step that's required.

Any help will be appreciated.

When you are on your admin panel, there is a link on the top-left side that says "view your storefont" (or it may say your website address), click on that. It should take you to what you need.

The domain name you have assigned to your nsCommerceSpace package is registered with another registrar and has a DNS record that points to another host. When you click view storefront, the other host is being contacted, instead of displaying the storefront of your nsCommerceSpace package. You will need to update the DNS record of this domain with your registrar so that it points at your nsCommerceSpace package. You can also temporarily unassign this domain from the package until your store is fully built.
