Good Afternoon,

I'm trying to implement a small survey page (Ecommerce Pro) that provides feedback to my email address. The page I've developed (basic HTML) is a form with some textareas, checkboxes, etc. I contacted support and they suggest I use FormMail and directed me to "kb.monstercommerce.com" for explanation and code example.

I created a custom page and utilized the code modifying text areas, etc. to suit my needs ensuring I did not change the key Action attribute. It reads: http://formmail.monstercommerce.com/cgi-bi...l/ntformmail.pl as spelled out in documentation.

When I test the form, I receive no valid error but I also do not receive any email. Do I have to implemnet Iframes or utilize something else to make it happen within the Ecommerce Pro package?

Just trying to find a simple way to create a custom page with feedback to specific email address whether its FormMail, ASP Mail, CDONTS, etc.

Thanks in advance for suggestions...

Hi RoederKIJ,

Those scripts were actually written for our older version of the Ecommerce package that many users are still using so it will probably not work with this version of the storefront. If you are using it on a custom page in the design section you will definitely have to put it in an IFrame to read from a straight HTML page because with v7.x - this is built off of .Net.

The thing with ASP.Net though is that the whole page is a form. So when you try to add in another form, this cannot be done (ie. can't have a form in a form...).

So what I recommend is save your form as a .html file. Upload it to the file manager, and then use an Iframe to load that info. If that does still not work that just means that the script for the older version of our software will not work with the newest. We do plan on adding some functionality like this though in the future.
