I am currently upgrading my ecommerce site to V7, and now have to massage all my products (600+) to deal with personalizations - which used to be called variants in the old V4x structure. (IMG:

This new structure allows me to display an image associated with each option within a personalization query.
This is great but....
The work involves manually deleting all the old 'transferred' variants (which are now personalizations) and replacing them with options created in a personalization template that I have created.
However, it appears that images can currently only be displayed immediately under a query selection, and as such tends to lengthen the product page display (as it extends to cope with the added image/s)
I am concerned this can make each product page look increasingly 'untidy' and may have an adverse reaction with my customers.
Is there a recommended image size for personalization images (to mitigate the lengthening effect)? Currently I have the images all set at one size (240x180).
Alternately, is there a way of determining where the images will display (preferably in a table format directly under the product)?
Probably not, but I thought I would ask.
