Can someone provide me with Javascript or some kind of code to add text to checkout. Want to edit the coupon section.... as well as the view cart section. Tried the top of page/ bottom of page in the predefined custom pages but it pretty nasty. Want to actually be able to put some code in the middle....

Thank you,

I would love to be able to do this as well; in v4 before migration, we had enhanced customization capabilities with the checkout (we could rename some of the field and even add descriptive text above and below each section to help customers). In v7 we can only add something to the very top or very bottom of the page and that is typically not seen by customers.

Where is it in the admin that a checkout page can be edited?

I have js code that is supposed to go on the "thank you page".

Thanks

In Home > Predefined Pages, you will see the "Checkout" page. Editing that and you can add text to the top and bottom of each step in the checkout process.

If you want to modify the actual text that appears once an order has been completed, see Home > Operations > Payments and you can edit the text for each of your payment methods.

I I edit the "Home > Predefined "Checkout"" page" will it apply itself to each of the unique "Home > Operations > Payments" pages?

If you edited the Predefined "checkout" pages, then for all orders regardless of how it paid for, your text will appear at the top or bottom of those pages (however you set it up).

However, if you wanted something special to appear on the "completed" checkout page, you have to go and edit the Payment Methods in the admin console Home > Operations > Payments (for example, "thank you for your order. your order number is XXXX and will be shipped within one business day." You have to set that for each payment type you offer.

What I am wanting to add is javascript.

If this is added in the Predefined "checkout" do I only add it to "step 4" if I only want it on the confirmation page. Or is it better to add it to the individual payment pages?

Or will the Javascript not work here?

Thanks for your help
Bill

If it's Javascript you want run regardless of the payment type, then you could put it in the header of Step 4. If it's Javascript you want run only for one payment type, then you could put it in the specific payment method.
