This one is hard to say as typically ajax is sending calls to the server to look at different things. Now in the sense of what ajax is though it is just javascript and xml. So if the xml file is already on the server and you are just reading it, yes your script will work. Now if you were planing on having this rely on some server side code to generate the xml for your javascript, well that won't work because you cannot run server side code on the site.

So in the end since I can't see your code, the best thing I can say is to try it, and if it doesn't work that means it is looking to call things from the server that it is not allowed to. If you could tell us a little bit more about the code though such as what tool it is, etc we might be able to help you better.

We were going to outsource the coding of a project.

It would pull all the images in the image gallery and show thumbnails under the main image on the product display page. As you mouse over each thumbnail the main image would change.

Any information or tips I can give the coder is appreciated.

I dont know how much of the DB structure or what calls to it we are allowed to make according to NS.

Thanks

You can't make any calls directly to the DB.

Also is there anyway to pull the from the manf page and have it show in the product display section?

If you look at http://www.travelersshoppes.com/search.aspx?manufacturer=3 I have a nice description about 2 or 3 lines at the top. I want a way to call that into my product layout.

Thanks (IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
