We are looking for your feedback.

Do you want domestic and International order fulfillment features available in your e-commerce account?

Order fulfillment service providers provide inventory storage in warehouses. When you get orders through your online store they can be passed to the warehouse provider who then ships the product to the buyer. The warehouse provider then sends your store new inventory levels and tracking info for the shipment.

One vendor that is interested in integrating with us is Shipwire.com. They have warehouses in LA, Nevada, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver and the UK. They have their pricing online at shipwire.com/pricing. They offer a free trial at shipwire.com/trial. They offer multiple warehouses so that you can keep inventory closer to end buyers and cut your shipping costs. You can also enter new countries and sell like a local merchant.
Why Use Order Fulfillment?
  • Cut your shipping costs by moving inventory closer to your end-buyer
  • Eliminate packaging and shipping from your daily tasks
  • Augment or replace your existing warehouse. If you have an east coast warehouse, consider adding an LA facility
  • Move inventory to Canada or the UK. Ship ground to Europe and get the product there in two days.

Shipwire also provides freight services, Inventory insurance, supply chain expertise, import/export assistance and reporting and analytics on shipping.

Tell us what you think.

I like this idea. I will have to tell the people in upper level management about this. We get free shipping from our vendors, so having them ship to Cali instead of Ohio would make us even more competitive when we get bids from Asia.

For our Canadian customers this might be a very good thing. Many of our suppliers offer free shipping inside the US 48 states. However they will not drop ship to Canada. This forces us to ship the product in here and then ship it to Canada.

Outside of North America.. it would all depend on if they can be competitive on there shipping rates. We use a freight forwarder for our international shipping and their rates are very competitive. It is also crucial to know if they will ship shipments over 150lbs or over 300lbs for that matter.
