I created a test order to sync.
The sale was added to QB fine. But with some problems.
1) the product was added to my QB list. I was told I could MERGE these two together, so I did. What it also did was merge the quantities at a $0.00 dollar amount. NowI have more in inventory than I really do have.

2) I have Dealers who purchase 4-5 times a day. It treats them as a new customer and adds a 2 digit number to them. This causes problems when you attempt to pull a sales report on your customer in QB.

3) Sales numbers do not get pulled, instead it adds the next value from the QB sales number. So your customer gets a sale number 17895 from the website. You import this sale, and QB gives it the number 21541. Now your customer calls in a few days regarding his purchase number 17895 and you can't find it. OH.. we can put this in the memo field and manually adjust each order received. Thanx

4) My store sells items that are a Non-Inventory item. They cannot be added
OK, let's fix that by putting in a random inventory amount in NS. Well when you do that, on the sync it will change the inventory in QB, and now your QB inventory value just went up.

This covers the creation of new products when you download orders and how to deal with it. Basically the short answer is if you did not pull the product from QB into the storefront, it can't tell if the product exists or not so the above post shows how to merge them properly.
