Hello! We are attempting to implement Live Person on our site picturedayreorders.net and are having problems. When using the Page View function of Live Person (this is the ability to look at the page a user is viewing) products in the cart are not visible. I have contact Live person and they have indicated that the "The LivePerson Monitor Tag (HumanTag Monitor) must be correctly embedded in the pages to be viewed (immediately before the /body tag)". Can you please let me know how I can use the Design tab to implement this custom HTML Tag right before /body?

It turns out the you can use the footer to place the Live Person code before /body. However, after doing this, our Live Person integration was not working properly. After consulting with Live Person, it turns out the Live Person does not support Network Solutions SSL "out of the box". This issue has now been esclated to Tier 2 Support at Live Person. They have assured me that they can add some "custom stuff" to make it work. This is fairly frustrating since Network Solutions recomends Live Person at http://ecommerce.networksolutions.com/mcm-liveperson.asp

Anyway, I will keep the forum posted as this issue continues on its resolution path.

Bad news. Aftter much back and forth with Live Person, they indicated that the live person "PageView" software will not work with the Network Solutions shopping cart. (It does work with regular navigation. This was really frustrating since Live Person was recomended by Network Solutions at: http://ecommerce.networksolutions.com/mcm-liveperson.asp

So - here is the official email from Live person . . . .

Dear Irvin Simon,

I am following up on your recent inquiry regarding the inability to see customer's shopping carts on the page viewer when they add items.

After a thorough investigation by our R&D team, we found that your website uses HttpOnly cookies which our page viewer cannot support as they prevent our PageViewer scripts from accessing them and disabling their operation.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions regarding this or any other LivePerson issue. We may be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by chat from your LivePerson Customer Center, or email to support@liveperson.com.
Sincerely,

Technical Support

Hi irvinsimon,

Since that specific feature of liveperson does not work I did want to mention a similar feature that is built into the cart. Now while you probably wouldn't be able to tie it directly to the person you are watching on live chat you can view your customer's shopping carts in Sales >> Shopping Carts.

If the cart has their IP listed you could then tie that to the person you are viewing on live chat then. For more information on the cart listing/displaying the customer's IP checkout - http://forums.networksolutions.com/index.p...pic=546&hl=

Joe,

Thanks for your response. It is appreciated. The problem with your solution for us is that this implementation does not allow usto view checkout questions which is critical for our chatting environment. Additionally, it does not provide reporting. We had attempted to solve this with Google Analytics, but checkout questions were also not implented. I have added this feature request in the appropriate area. Thanks.

Signed,

Super Frustrated!

So, at long last, I've confirmed that the LivePerson "pageview" feature is incompatible with Monster. I've pasted the email below. The other features of LivePerson continue to work OK.

Dear Irvin Simon

Thank you for contacting LivePerson Technical Support.

I am following up on your recent inquiry regarding the inability to view some pages on the PageViewer.

After a thorough investigation, we found that Network Solutions have started using a new type of cookies to increase security within their shopping cart. Unfortunately,
this specific type of cookies prevents our PageViewer from being able to display your shopping cart pages within the LivePerson Agent Console.

I am sorry for any inconvenience caused to you by this misunderstanding. We will update our promotional material on Network Solution's site ASAP.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions regarding this or any other LivePerson issue. We may be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by chat from your LivePerson Customer Center, or email to support@liveperson.com.
Sincerely,
Technical Support

All,

I am currently testing this on my site: http://www.websitealive.com/ I am doing the 10 day free trial, took me about 30 minutes to implement on the site and seems to be working fairly well.

Eric, it is working great, I actually can see visitors on the site the second they arrive. It shows where they are going on the site, how they were referred etc (actual page or google search). It is very cool. The other feature I really like is you can prompt the visitor into a chat, meaning on the page the visitor is on a dialog box will display stating do you want to chat.......

I have tested every feature this AM, have put through a bunch of test orders and do not see any negative effects of adding it to the site. I would highly recommend trying the 10 day free trial!
