Is it possible, via nsscript or some other method, to display a product list on a non-product list page?

For instance, in my case we have a clothing store and want to display press pages of celebrities wearing clothes we sell, then below that have a product list of those clothes. I could have them in a special category instead, but then I don't have much control over the page, specifically adding content as opposed to just changing CSS. Conversely, if I create a custom page with the press content, I can't figure out how to get a product list on that page.

Anyone have a solution and/or understand what I'm trying to accomplish? Th.

Currently there is not a way to do this. You would simply need to custom code that information.

Joe,

Thx for the reply. Hate to press the issue, but I really need this functionality, so is there a way to tap into the code you guys use to display things such as Home/Category specials? Seems like that's the thing I'm looking for. Any Javascripts I could call to do this? Thx again.

Again, all of that is driven by the aspx code which is server side, you can't call those from another html page or even a custom page because it won't have the right things to call it and per CISP we do not allow you to make pages that call rendom info as you could then simply just call what ever you want then including credit card info. The only stuff that we allow to be called is design elements that you can see when editing your design in Design >> Site Design.

In the end I am not 100% sure why you need this as if you do simply just create the custom html pages yourself then otherwise the cart is flexible enough and so seo friendly that you shouldn't have anything to worry about just using the default pages we provide.

I'm guessing that the main reason to do this would be to highlight products (that change dynamically with uploads, stock, add to cart buttons) on 'static' html or custom pages that are purely content. So, imagine an article on backpacking and having a column on the right side that feature the top three items from a category called Backpacks. It's called merchandising! Hi baschwar,

This I can understand but again due to the vast amount of customization that some one would want from this it is hard to determine what our clients would want and how to make it display properly all the time. This is why we allow for custom design. If you setup your templates well enough it should be very simply to replace what you need. Especially if you use Javascript to setup your template then you could simply have that javascript read from a file that you change whenever you want to change the products in that section...
