Anyone have any experience with QB POS integration and E-Commerce Pro 7.x?

I could not get the webconnector to work with QB POS 6.0 or QB 2007. Both had errors QB 2007 fatal! I had to restore the system to a previous day.

Technical support sent me version 1.5 of the web connector (replacing ver 2.0 downloaded from E-Commerce Pro) and it installed flawlessly.

I will be testing later this week, so I realy do not know if it works as advertised yet.

Hi pmblair,

From my own experience as long as you are running QB on a single PC and not over a network I have never had any issues at all and it has always worked flawlessly. In terms of using QBWC 1.5 or 2.0 it should not matter now based off of the new setup wizard we have created.

The new setup wizard simply creates a QWC file that you open with the webconnector and this will then link your storefront and QB together.

Joe,

The 2.0 webconnector caused failures 11/25/07. The webconnector 1.5 was loaded 11/26/07. I think I was originally using the new setup wizard on 11/25/07! When was the new wizard created?

btw, tech support said there was a reported problem with webconnector 2.0 and QB POS 6.0 and QB 2007. "This was a single PC"

The bottom line is now everything appears to be functioning properly and will know for sure after our payment gateway is approved and we test later this week. I will sync the test order to validate proper function.

Thanks,
Philip

Finally got around to testing Webconnector 1.5 with Ecommerce 7 and QBPOS 6. Turns out the the Ecommerce name and QB description 1 are the matching keys when order detail is matched, Hmmm. It did not work for me because that was the last thing I thought would be the primary key for the Webconnector app. The result is I ended up with duplicate customers and duplilcate items.

Next test, I insured that I had an item with an ecommerce name that matched the QB POS Desc1 perfectly. After placing a test order and indicating order status in ecommerce = shipped, I sync'd (Export orders was selected in ecommerce) and to my surprise, I had another duplicate item. The customer worked okay this time, I don't know why but I am glad it did.

The bottom line is I cannot figure out what to do next. Network Solutions Customer support is telling me that the matching up of product is based on Name (ecommerce) and Description 1 (QB POS). I am waiting for Monday to come around so I can contact QB and Network solutions developers and hopefully get this worked out.
