I am using Endicia to print US Postage with Data port 4.2 and 5.0. How do I do this with the new store front?

I am migrating soon.

I can't seem to find it in the manual, or in any forum topic.

OK. CSV does NOT work.

Does anyone know of a nice xml to csv program to convert the data?

I tried 3 conversion programs and they don't quite work well. One leaves out the Address2 line.

I also called the migration team, and they did not even know what Endicia was.

Data port 4.2 worked, but not international, but at least weights were passed.

Data port 5.0 worked, but not international, and NOT weights.

Version 7.4 does not work at all.

I have to ship does anyone have any solutions at all??????

We are still struggling with this issue as well. We migrate on Wednesday, and have tried a variety of options. Anybody have luck with Endicia importing the xml file?

Some Endicia packages do support xml imports, but they can be a steep to set up the mapping.

Mind you, my familiarity is based entirely on memory from a couple of years ago.

I looked at Tarantula and a couple of other products, but there was some issue with xml from MC - so we went with ShipRush to read the shipping data out of QB after MB had pumped it down.

Depending on how many shippers you use and which ones, IF you use QB, ShipRush may be an option. The USPS only version of ShipRush is free, though you need a 'ShipRush account' at Endicia to make it work.

Thanks- We primarily use USPS Priority and Express. I have contacted endicia and sent a raw .xml file to see what we can work out. If successful, I will post results. Even if they charge me, I will share the love. If not, we will attempt the ship rush once we finally migrate and get qbooks online. Again- thanks for the response.

I talked a senior tech at Endicia there at length today. I asked to see if they knew a third party piece of software to convert the XML file to a CSV file to feed into Taratula (from Endicia).

He talked to several of the techs there.

No one at Endicia has any answers. No third party solutions.

I googled XML to CSV translation programs, but they are too general and do NOT extract the information correctly. I tried 3 of them. But I have not tried all of them.

I read through the XML format pdf file out of endicia. Their format is totally incompatible with Network Solutions XML format. I tried this. It did not work.

I am now trying to hire a software engineer to try and write an application to take the XML format and convert it to CSV format. This CSV format may be fed into Taratula in Endicia and then printed out.

15 days to migrate is just too fast for this kind of work.

I did this with UPS WorldShip and Endicia to use with the new V7 site. This is what I did. Download your order via XML and save them into a folder. Then create a excel file that will map the XML fields into this new excel file. You need to click the developer tab and then click source and find the XML file you save from your V7 site. Now you can map the shipping fields you need. the original XML files contains more info than you need so you can use your XML map to pull the shipping information only. After you have mapped your fields click import in the developer tab and import your XML orders file. You will then see your new orders with the correct shipping information. Now you need to save this mapped file as a csv file so you can use it with Endicia and UPS worldship. I set this up a fw days ago and it is the only workaround I have found.

You need the newest version of excel.
Mapping XML seems a little tricky at first but when you get the hang of it you will realize that it is a very powerful tool. Hope this helsp you out. if you need more info send me and email. dan@daddiesboardshop.com

You need Excel 2007. 2003 will not let you work with XML. Anyone who had fun with Dataport 5 will be very familiar with this XML issue.

Interesting - we're neighbors - sort of.
If we weren't in the process of finishing our new custom solution, I'd be all about picking your brain over this, though I suspect it's not all that daunting.
I had to pick through the xml in order to get some specific sales figures for our WA tax report - it was odd, but not particularly difficult.
Shipping might be tougher.

I found a ready made solution for XML to CSV conversion for Tarantula from Endicia.com.

It is made for Network Solutions 7.x and will convert the output file into CSV for easy input into Tarantula. It even imports weights and full country code so that International Shipping address can be printed.

Any comments on?

You may try to break it and see how it works.
