Just tried to place some test orders on V7 and I just realized that they are getting declined, because the order numbers already exist as being processed by Linkpoint.

For example, when my site initially migrated lets say I was up to order number 100 - the next order up when testing V7 would be 101...but 101 already "happened" for real on my V4 site.

Is there any way to change the starting order number on V7? If so, I cant seem to find it.

Help.
Thanks

Martini,

The other thing you can do is set up a temporary payment method to not require a credit card, thus by passing your Gateway all together when you test your orders.

Hey Rick...you are correct - and thanks.
I really wanted to make sure that the system was good to go in a live scenario. I upped the numbers and all is good.

I do have 2 cancelled sales with numbers that duplicate orders that are going to migrate, I am not sure what is going to happen with those? Hope its not a major issue.

Thanks again macrick and sgrover for the help!

Just to update you on this... you will want to check that your 4x site is still working. If Linkpoint does not allow your order numbers to go back you will need to get that increased in 4x. The reason this was happening is because your linkpoint account is tied to two sites while you are getting your 7x site ready. Since your 4x site was already creating orders your 7x site was not able to keep up with the order number. There is a chance that increasing this on your testing 7x site may have caused problems with your 4x site so I would test that as soon as possible to verify.
