Curious if someone adds xxx amount of dollars to the cart it will provide free shipping instead of using a coupon code?

Yes, you can create a custom shipping method that applies to cart totals over XXX and set the cost of that custom shipping method to be $0. |

As Rhonda, accurately stated, you can create a custom shipping method that will give the free shipping. What is kind of squirly is the customer then has to choose this shipping method in the cart whenever they are checking out. It isn't really automatic. |
