Thank you NetSol for the product feed generator.

I amable to generate the feeds and get them uploaded to these two sites (Google & Shopzilla), but both of these feeds came back with "column number errors".

I aparantly have not enough columns as required by the sites, or information is in the wrong
column......

Is there an error with how the feeds are generated, an error with my product data, or I am missing
another variable.

I am not sure where to start looking for the error, and thought it best to see if this is a simple "fix it"
question.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Also - SUPER THANKS for the fix with PayPal Express layout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kindly,
Karen Preston

Does it say what columns are causing the problem?

Here is the note from ShopZilla:

"Thank you for your email. I just checked over your feed and it seems that the problem resides in the format of your feed. A few of your products are not formatted correctly, they are not in our 15 column format. I have attached a screen shot of the problem and highlighted it for you. Please re-format your feed so that all of your products fit our 15 column format and re-upload your feed.
"
-----

I don't know how to insert the the screen shot, but it is specific to only certain lines.
A few lines have data in the wrong columns.

I can forward this email to you so that you can see the screen shot.

Please let me know how I can get this error info to you....

Would love to be using this feature but am uncertain how to fix this error, especially when Google and Shopzilla require feeds to be resubmitted roughly every 2 weeks.

Put a screenshot or word doc in the root folder of your file manager and let me know.

Dave, looking at your errors and your feed file and I noticed a couple of issues.

1. You have a few products where you have multi-line short descriptions, which throw off the format of the file. This was a bug that was corrected in the update last night, so you should be able to regenerate your feed to fix those products. I didn't write down which ones are affected, but if you open the feed file in Excel and resize the columns, and you'll be able to scroll down and see where some rows have text where the ID should be.

2. You also have several products that have just a space as a short description. This then appears to be an empty description to Google. When you view the file in Excel, you can see the records that appear to show empty descriptions that would need to be adjusted.

Hope this helps.

Karen, I took a look at your feeds and saw that the two Google feeds have the same multi-line short description issues as mentioned above. Additionally, I noticed that you use HTML in your short descriptions, which I have been told Google will not allow. I recommend you re-generate your feed to remove the returns, and then remove the HTML code in order for Google to accept the feed. Please note that we will be stripping the HTML from the description automatically in feed generation in a future update.

Regarding the ShopZilla errors, I do not see a ShopZilla feed on your site, so I could not review the file. I would recommend creating a new ShopZilla feed and re-submitting.

Hope this helps.

Yes helps, thanks John
Will do another feed and fix the other issues.

Updated post,
I just did another feed and way less errors.
Is there anyway to see where this error line is in our product on cart.

The item is missing a required attribute. description 1045
Does line 1045 mean anything on the cart to find this?

We are now down to about
23 errors, so the update solved most of them.
I also updated the screen shot in file mgr, reference _2 at the end
