What's a "Routing Definition" for Chase Paymentech? The support guys there have no idea what that is. They offered up a bin number, saying it was the only additional piece of info they use (after merchant id and terminal id). Would a bin number work for routing definition?

Thanks,
Ross

I figured it out. If you're using Chase Paymentech "Routing Definition" is looking for the "Bin" number.

Hello Ross,
Is there a way to figure out the Chase Paymentech BIN number from their online Virtual Terminal or elsewhere in their paperwork, or is calling Chase Paymentech support the only way to find out that number?
Thanks,
- Nick.

Nick -

If memory is correct I believe their routing definition/BIN # is either 000001 or 000002. Usually if your merchant ID is nine characters than your BIN will be 000001 and if it is 12 characters your BIN will be 000002.
