S.O.S

I have my orders download in the XML file from network solutions. How do I automate this to run through my UPS World Ship or other UPS service. Due to product variations in our web store, orders appear on multiple rows. I need to be sure when the orders run through UPS that it bills to my UPS account and only makes one label per order. It will need to figure out a total weight for the one order. It would be best it the labels can print out on our UPS thermal printer. We also would like a shipping confirmation email to be sent to the client email address, hopefully with a custom message if possible.

Please help,
Scott Rubin

Hi Scott,

Using the order export with XML format should handle everything you need, it will list the weight for each product but I don't believe it will give you a total weight for the order though, I may be wrong. Also at this time there isn't a way to edit that. Finally there is not a way to automate pulling this information from your site with out you writing some sort of macro script, or automation script that would basically do the same thing you do but it emulates you actually typing in information like your password, etc.

I recommend searching google for macro scripting, this may give you some info on the automation part. Note though that I still think you may have to edit your xml file some.

Note that you can use microsoft excel to edit the file pretty easily in a spreadsheet type format. Best thing that I can recommend is to export a test order and you will see what you have to work with.
