I just recieve my copy of QB 2008 in the mail yesterday. Since I am working to get my site up and running with a greater number of products is the udgrade a good idea?

I do not know how it would affect the QB intergrator and Ecom connection?

Has anyone on the team studied the new version and the effects when used with pro version 7.

thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim,

Currently I cannot comment what the differences would be from upgrading from 2007 to 2008 but I can say for sure that QB 2008 is compatible with our integration and you should not have any issues at all using the integration. The only thing that you may have to do is re-run the installer for the web connector that is in your admin panel.

Hello, I have QB Enterprise Solutions 2008 installed. I have been trying to get my Pro Ecommerce site to integrate with QB 2008 for 3 months now. I've spoken with 6 or 7 tech support engineers at NS and have pared it down to two, Cathy N. and another who are spearheading the integration issues. It works at about 70%. Orders synch, but render incorrect inventory quantities, almost as if the 2008 fields are mapped differently.

We just had a sale this past week and had to process close to 700 orders all by hand. What a waste of time and incredible frustration as our personnel were typing information in that should have been automatically ported over via software from the web, directly into QB. I watched as my profits from the sale evaporated as I ended up paying out several hundreds of dollars in overtime to employees who had to work late entering orders to meet our "Same day shipping" policy for our customers.

QB integration has definitely been a nightmare. But, it seems that no company really has it down pat. Before we were working with NS, our local web provider didn't have a clue what to do.

I am eager to see what Cathy and Jeremy come up with. It will save us lots of time and money.

Daniel

I don't use Enterprise (I use QB Pro), but if they work the same, wouldn't it have saved a lot of time/energy to esport the data from NS and import into QB? I mean maybe one or two orders wouldn't be effective but if 200+ orders can be pulled-in using a spreadsheet that should save some $$.

Believe me when I say that I feel your pain, but in a pinch you gotta turn those lemons into lemonade... hopefully without eating any overtime, because that would suck (literally).

When I tried exporting orders out of NS into QB with the Tech from NS, the result was:

1. The order went into QB as a receipt. Customer information was correct. Items on receipt were correct.

2. Because the orders were for items that weren't properly synched between QB/NS (the main problem), every order imported would have created a duplicate item in my QB because NS would try to push its item to QB. I already have the items in QB. I don't want 2 versions of all 2,500 of my items.

3. If I were to export the orders, my sales, profit, COGS, PO's, everything would be way out of whack because the orders would be for items that weren't originally in QB--all attached to reorder points, etc.

Not sure if this makes sense to anyone, but it is a small piece of my nightmare!
