Hi all, has anyone else hit a wall with the new nsWebsite Deluxe package and the inability to insert a meta tag in the <head> of your website or upload a html file to the root of your domain?

It is a simple verification for Google Webmaster Tools to verify that you are the owner of the website.

Cheers.

I am sorry to hear that you were experiencing issues with adding a metatag to validate your site with Google. It is not possible to add the metatag with the Web Site Builder Tool. Google offers an alternative method to validate your site where you create a page with a name they provide. They will give you a page name such as google12345.html. To create this page, you can add a page which is not in the navigation of the site called google12345 (dropping the ".html") and it will publish as google12345.html. You would need to substitute the actual page name they provide for google12345.

I,ve hit the same wall trying to load sitemaps for Google. The CSS page is locked and doesn,t permit adding sitemaps to the root directory (xml or html or txt) doesn't matter I added the Google verification in the properties tag area of the Home page in the largest meta tag boxes.to get Google verified. Guess a plugin is needed to ad a sitemap for the web crawlers. Good luck! Tom929
