I have a domain hosted at Network Solutions and also have the web hosting package. I create my website using WebPlus 10 and publish my site through their ftp system.

My problem is: I have my domain name www.msdrrobertsinc.com but I want to create subdomains for instance portfolio.msdrrobertsinc.com, i have created the subdomain but I can't seem to upload to it. I have uploaded the page using the ftp and the files are in the correct directory but when I got to that site address I receive the Access Forbidden message.

Can anyone tell me what am i doing wrong or where I can find some documentation on how this should work. When I publish it to the web I use the correct FTP server name, username and password, the files are there but how can I get the subdomain to point to that particular ftp and open the site?

Any assistance will be appreciated.

When you setup a subdomain in your account manager, you also specify a folder for that subdomain to point to. You simply upload your website files to the folder specified using your normal FTP login. If you are still receiving an access forbidden message after verifying this has been done, also make sure that there is a valid index file, such as index.html, home.html, etc.

Thanks for your help. I can now work with my subdomains.
