We've been getting nsProtect Critical Warnings and Service Warnings a lot lately... 14 times in the last 2 weeks. Usually the site is down between 3:00 and 6:00 in the morning. Our website was down twice last night.
Is anyone else experiencing this same problem?
It is causing a drop in sales and causing problems with Google Product feeds, Bing, TheFind.... since our feeds can't be picked up when the site is down.
I opened a support ticket but haven't gotten a resolution. NS keeps closing our support tickets before sending us answers or resolving problems. It's like they pass the problem on, and then it is dropped. I'd like to know if this "site down" problem is specific to our website or if others are having the same problem.
If you don't use nsProtect you won't get email notices when your site goes down, so perhaps you wouldn't know this is even happening since it seems to happen before normal business hours. Perhaps if it is not just our problem NS will move the issue to the top of their list.
We had problems this week. The only reason we know about it is a very good and long time customer of ours let us know about the problems she had and orders that never got processed.
The problem -- This past week we've had a customer try on two different days to place an order very early in the morning and each time the system just kept spinning and spinning. Eventually she'd get a message "wait for a while and try again later" . The screen would then to blank and she'd loose all the info she'd imputed. She also had a long customer note that disappeared. She tried several times each day and could never get the orders through.
