I decided to look at Analytics after not looking for a while and noticed that it shows zero sales and only 4 visits for the past 30 days. Actually we've had many orders and thousands of visits.

Is there an issue with the automatic GA code or is there some setting I wasn't aware of?

James,

My anlytics works (sort off) I get the visits and total sales all right. The problem for me is that since google upgraded their code, sometimes in September it does not track the PPC campaigns that are managed by NetworkSolutions correctly! It gives total sales but it does not break down the sales on the campaign level, making it imposible to tweak and manage the PPC. I have talked to the PPC department countless times but it is like talking to the wall. There are few other analytics on the market.

Martini recomended: http://www.visistat.com

and I am looking at: http://www.engineready.com/products/cva.html
It gives you amazing data!

Anyone out there with PPC managed by NetworkSolutions? I would like to know what you are going to do regarding your analytics and your campaigns?

Hey Nuriel: Can you update us re: are you getting any data regarding sales by campaign? We aren't getting any of that data. I may sign up with VisiStat soon. What are you doing?

so what happened with this?

GA isn't tracking orders correctly, it will register some, others it will register but with $0 value.

Looking at previous posts, there is obviously some sort of issue.

Anyone at NetSol care to comment?

I found out that somehow my GA code changed in my NS admin settings from my actual one. It may have been when NS was doing my ads but I'm not sure. I changed it and it started working and has since. Double check yours to be certain it's correct.

In testing this the only time I have seen a $0 order appear in GA is in the case of an order paid in full by a gift certificate. Would this apply to the $0 orders you are seeing? For the orders that aren't showing up at all, do you know if they may have been created through back-end order entry in the mcp? Orders placed through back-end order entry would not be sent to google.

Nope, they are just regular orders. No Gift certs or discount codes. I've got two examples showing in my GA from yesterday. One is an international order, the other a domestic. There appears to be no pattern to it.

I'd appreciate some help with this - its not like this post isn't old enough.

FYI, I have another 5 transactions showing in GA with a $0 value. Plenty of examples for you to look at.

These issues are difficult to examine unless those attempting to do so have access to the Google Analytics account that everything is being reported to.

Not really, they just have to ask.
