Personalizations In Google-checkout-order-confirmation, help

The e-mail confirmation WE receive only shows the name of the product, the quantity and the subtotal....and tax, shipping....etc. The e-mail confirmation does NOT show personalizations. We have personalizations on almost every product we offer. Is there a way to EDIT the order confirmations so that personalizations are also listed???

Google doesn't allow it, I also wanted to customize my confirmations and searched Google "customize order confirmations" and a couple of replies indicates something about iimplementing the Notification API but I have not done it.
