I am trying to use Google Webmaster Tools with our Network Solutions hosted WordPress site.

However, the robots.txt file is listed on the Google Webmaster Tools site as 'unreachable', which is probably because the file''s not actually there.

I thought Network Solutions automatically added a robots.txt file to the root of each domain?

If not, I'll happily add one but the WordPress Hosting package doesn't provide FTP access so I'd appreciate any advice on how I could achieve this.

This is now working for me and I believe the problem was linked to another query I had to do with the WordPress URL settings described here:
