For the past week when we try to update the Monster Marketplace nothing happens?
called Tech thur got a case number but no reply?

Now I see when I hit update page etc it wants us to re-apply? and fill out keywords etc etc?
We still have a listing as seen in our admin panel so why do we need to re-apply? Seems extra work once again to use something we already have?

So not sure what is going on with it?

Any ideas???
Thx
Dave

Same problem here... the last refresh date is March 08. Site has some major changes since then and number of products has doubled.

Can you let us know what you are trying to update specifically?

When I test on your site it works fine for me.

Can you give us more specific steps as well.

All you should have to do is go to Operations >> MMP >> Manage listing. Change info and press save. Note though that once changes are saved they will then be approved via our moderation team for MMP so you might not see the changes instantly on mmp.com but it will show in the admin panel.

In terms of refresh that is just for the storefront image. All products and info are pulled as they are on your site everytime someone visits MMP through a specified api so all listing info is accurate.

Thanks
Joe

I have clicked on refresh many times since last week, nothing happens, date stays the same etc,
I see now that your change made the date change but not the icon?
Shouldn't the icon update also?
Friday when I tried to refresh it said please sign up for MMplace as the post in here shows prior from Wackyjazz and Cnmor.

I called Tech last week they couldn't update either and did a ticket somewhere.
I think the case number is 1-362315397

So I assume something else is going on,

Dave
Ps Tried in I/E 6 and FFox

I see now the store icon just changed to match correctly

No matter how many times I click the refresh store icon it still says
Last refreshed: 11/20/2006 1:57:22 PM
Next scheduled refresh: 12/20/2006

Still shows the old homepage.

Nowhere do I see a way to update keywords, etc. The only thing to change is your business profile. And you can look at the reports. That's it.

Hi Carol,

That is all that you are allowed to change, once you have submitted your site with the keywords and descriptions that is the only time you can submit that information. The reason we don't allow users to change this is we have to approve all of those upon submission. If we had 100's of people changing these daily we would not be able to approve them all in a timely manner. As to why we have to approve them it is because we don't want it to cause conflicts between SEO of your storefront or MMP. Specifically duplicate content penalties...

I am looking into the store icon as when I test it on sites it is working fine. Once I get some more info though I'll let you know.

Hi All,

This issue should be resolved now, I tested it out on carol's and dave's site and all is working good.

Please let us know if you have any issues.

Joe..Mine refreshed.

Also, you stated that we didn't have the rights to change keywords. Maybe this is a feature we need. MM has never really "delivered" the goods so to speak but I have gotten a few sales from it. Keywords for my industry changes with the seasons...I would like to have the opportunity to change keywords to match buying trends.

Think I would have to second this, maybe at least twice a year or once a quarter. I mean, maybe when we submitted the keyword stuff, we didn't even have a clue what it was we were submitting or as Wacky points out, we aren't always targeting the same keywords over time, things change.

I have to agree as well about how well MMP has delivered . . . Oh boy, here goes another long thread on how effective MMP is . . . back to MMP . . . I mean, after all wasn't the purpose of MMP to help Monster Merchants . . . by the way, when are you going to change it to NetSOL marketplace? Maybe when you change the name, you can update how it works, its purpose, benefit to your mechants, and of course your new marketing strategy for it.

I agree with the 2 posts above! and as to MMP performance, something happened to the traffic from MMP we used to average 800 clicks up to June 2008 with some days averaging 40 clicks. Than in August traffic was sporadic and we received 400 clicks. In September we had 140 clicks (10 a day was the high)

At the same time our overall trafic stays steadyI even checked our Google base traffic and it stayed steady so this leads me to beleive that something is very wrong with MMP

Hi All,

I can say for sure nothing is wrong with MMP. Just because your traffic isn't exactly the same each month does not mean something is wrong. One thing you must note is that we get a lot of our traffic to MMP with PPC. Along with this we target specific keywords through PPC each month so if for some reason we didn't bid on any keywords that are related to your product, well you might not see as much traffic that month through MMP.

In terms of functionality everything is working 100% how it is supposed to. Also in terms of Delivering, no where do we state that we would guaruntee you so much traffic or that it would increase your sales, etc. That would be like saying just because I have my site listed at X I have to get more traffic, well that is not the case and is just not good common sense. So in the end as we have always said MMP is a free service for you to get more exposure for your site on the web. If you want to use it feel free to submit your site, otherwise if you would like to not have your site listed feel free to contact technical support. While it may not be the best for everyone we do have clients that benefit from it as you will see here - http://monstermarketplace.com/monsterSelle...008&month=8

Joe,

Thanks for the explanation on the PPC, now it makes sense. from the tone of your answer I got the feeling as if you were attacked personaly. We did not mean it and i apologize if it felt that way. I am one of these merchants that is benefiting from MMP (Platinum seller) and I do thank MMP for being included in it for free.

I was making the point because for some reason there was a secracy in the organization of who is in charge for MMP and the way it is being operated and every time I have asked a sincere answer I never got a straight answer. The only tool that was left for my analysis was Google Analytics, so when I saw the traffic drop drastically I raised it to alert you guys and not as a complaint.

Keep up the good work and thanks again for the explanation that I hear for the first time since I have raised the issue back in June.

Sincerely,

Hi Dave,

I checked MMP and it says your image was last cached at 3:45 pm today. Also I see the image so it must be a cache issue with your browser. Try clearing and checking again.

We had our MMP listings turned back on I believe before Labor Day. We have absolutely no impressions, no clicks, no conversions, nothing.

Like Nuriel, I am not complaining, I am just alerting you to fact that something doesn't seem to be working. Is it possible that something is not set right on our account? Doesn't it seem odd that we would have no trafffic at all from MMP?

Hi macrick,

I checked your site on mmp just like you can through your admin panel http://www.monstermarketplace.com/Electronics/Store2859.html

As you see it loaded fine. All I can say is either people are not searching for mac products on MMP or we are not bidding on any PPC for Mac items. Since I don't deal with the PPC campaigns and even if I did I bet we could not disclose what we bidded on all I can determine is that MMP pulls your site just fine and is listing your products.

Joe
Not sure as there was no image icon when I checked?
This was prior to hittng the refresh tab?

I also had checked it in I.E and FFox
No image period, neither one!

Then I clicked refresh, no image.
I am back in today and see the icon image is back

Hi Dave,

All I can say is when I checked for you through the admin panel and one the mmp admin and the site on mmp.com the image was there. Due to this it had to be some sort of browser or local PC issue. I also had others check in our office and outside our office. I can assure there is no issue.

PLEASE HELP. My marketplace store is INACTIVE. Not sure when or how this happened. I resubmitted it and still nothing happened.
When I noticed it a month ago I emailed NetSol, they asked that I call, I called and the rep didn't know what was up so he placed another ticket on the problem, no reply, then get reply yesterday saying I have to email editor at mmp - that email was returned. Initially it wasn't refreshing either, but then it did refresh, still shows inactive and if I search for one of my products, it shows an image but gives a PAGE NOT FOUND error message. CAN YOU PLEASE ACTIVATE MY STORE.

Looks like it was dropped from MMP because it was canceled on 9/22. I guess you reopened it? You'll need to call support and tell them the situation and they can resubmit it.
