Hi,

Just checking if any NetSol customers have installed MediaWiki on their Unix Shared Hosting package?
Any issues or road-bumps I should be aware of?

If any NetSol people are reading this, it would be nice to have a better Wiki than the currently available phpWiki and TikiWiki. phpWiki is outdated. TikiWiki is a CMS mess and not a good Wiki for anyone who wants a standard basic Wiki.
P.S. I tried twice to get phpWiki to install and work, it installs but is badly broken (errors, missing files, etc.).
TikiWiki, well... it's a CMS not a Wiki IMHO.

Best,
David

Hi again,

No replies. (IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I went with another wiki package and it seems to be working just fine.
Manual install but no issues so far...

NetSol badly needs to dump phpWiki, put TikiWiki into the CMS listing where it belongs, and add something else for wikis like DokuWiki etc. (IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/nerd.gif)
