I set up an iMap account on my iPhone 5 running IOS 6.0.1 on Verizon. It took me a while to get it going. Incoming and outgoing emails worked fine for 5 days, then suddenly no more incoming emails. I did not change any of the settings to cause this to occur. I get the error message - "Cannot Get Mail. The mail server mail.mydomain.com is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings." I check the settings and they haven't been changed. My gmail and aol account work just fine. What's up? About to dump Network Solutions for all this grief.

I recommend contacting support either by phone, for quicker response or a support request throught the account manager. We can test the server connection and reindex if there is a corrupt email.

I called support and they tested the server connection and said it was fine, and I should contact Apple or Verizon.
My Incoming Mail Server settings:
Host Name: mail.my domain.com
User Name: my email address
Password: I entered the password for my email account

Advanced: Incoming Settings
Use SSL: OFF
Authentication: Password
IMAP Path Prefix /
Server Port: 143
S?MIME: OFF

Outgoing Mail Server settings:
stmp.mydomain.com

Primary Server:
stmp.mydomain.com ON
User Name: my email address
Password: I entered the password for my email account
Use SSL: ON
Authentication: Password
Server Port: 587

Are these correct?

Set outgoing SSL to OFF.

I switched SSL Off in the Outgoing Server.
My problem is with incoming mail
Get error message: Cannot Get Mail. mail.server "mail.mydomain.com is not responding."
If my Incoming Server settings are correct, what's the problem?
Why was I able to receive mail for a few days and then it stopped?

I have talked to people that have had issues like that. They removed the profile and reconfigured and it fixed it. I may be getting corrupted when an update is done on the phone software.

Thank you. I'll give that a try.
