I guess this is the best place to put this topic. . . So, I am doing a total marketing overhaul. I realize I was being too generic. I'm planing to reposition the brand. I think the current logo is nice but working it into campaigns and such is not always easy. what do you think about this new one? is it a stand out and memorable logo? I start with black and white because that is how it will look when photo copied. All suggestion and opinions are welcome even if it means going back to the drawing board

Tahj,

I like the logo. I'm not sure which I like better though. I think I kinda like the first one more. I fear with no actual text, your customer have one less way to remember your name. I guess the argument could always be made... what about Nike... or Mac, but then again they have been around for decades.

I really like that I though... maybe a combination of the two?

that's actually a pretty cool look that u created. it hurts to lose the old logo considering it took me a WHILE to get it where it is. The reason i want to drop the text is because of the 2 companies u named and target. a symbol is very versatile. they add the text to it when they want to but the symbol can stand alone. for example . . . just to name a few ideas

1) visibility with drastic resizing such as small pics, favicons or instant message icons
2) the ability to do watermarks if need
3) doing creative things such as . . . having clouds in a picture shaped like the logo
4) logo shaped tear drops
5) logo shaped floating pool beds to if i have swim suits for sale
5) logo shaped . . . anything i can possibly think of

its like the old saying a picture is worth a thousand words . . . i just think a symbol is makes a statement. kinda like the MC vs NS. I can that purple eye is pretty distinct

but now im having a change of heart. . . i might have to try something else. this icon thing isnt working either. it would be better if it were for a specific product line not a retailer. Im having problems with this too :-(

As far as using a symbol only I have also heard it really works better for large companies that have the recognition and marketing power to make the public associate the name with the mark. For smaller companies it is probably really just a missed opportunity to not include the company name.
