On a side note, we decided not to use Amazon payments on our website even though we sell on Amazon. Amazon data mines your sales and if they see an item selling in a large enough quantity that is not on their platform they will try to buy it directly from the manufacturer and undercut you.

That may or may not be a concern to you, but if you sell niche products, beware. They did it to us on several product lines. Our policy now is to only sell items on Amazon that already exist on their platform or products we control.

You're absolutely correct!! We had a few hot items that all of a sudden stopped selling. When checking, we discovered Amazon had bought a ton directly from the manufacturer and undercut us to where we looked like we were trying to cheat the customer. We're very careful now as to what we list on Amazon.

I assist to trade shows in New York City quite often and yes, the big Amzn is there to sweep with stuff, vendors have to drop their prices to the almost the cost because they do buy in huge quantities. Where is the room for smaller or even medium size businesses?.... can't compete.

For those of us who manufacture our own products (not a distributor), is there a plan to make Amazon 1-Click Check Out a cart check-out option? If not, we'll likely be putting our products on Amazon.
