  4. CyberSource
  5. PayPal Payflow Pro (Verisign)
  6. PayPal Website Payments Pro
  7. PayPal Express Checkout
  8. Google Checkout

We are currently experiencing problems with our PayPal link/gateway/checkout. I don't know if anyone else is also going through this but it seems that since the latest changes we are no longer able to process an order. We only receive an error message. We did test it about a month ago and it worked fine.??

Hi mdsource,

We have no reported issues with PayPal currently except for accepting orders from international paypal accounts. I would recommend contacting us in support as we won't be able to help much in the forums with this.

Question about PayPal Website Payments Pro integration. When the order is placed are "all" the funds captured at that time or has the CC just been authorized? I am thinking partial shipments here. If I can ship something now and then the rest later I need to be able to only bill the customer for what they are charged now vs. later. Can someone give me some details as to how this integration works. I talked to PayPal and they didn't seem to have a clue, so I am hoping somewhere here can help clarify this for me. Thanks, Travis

On our site we allow the purchase of items that are listed as not in stock. Since we drop ship direct from the factory we technically do not "stock" any item. However it is always a guess as to how many of any item will be ordered. With this platform you have the option of limiting orders to in stock quantities only or to allow the purchase of back-ordered items.

With this store software you also have the option of setting paypal orders to authorize only. This way you can process that part of the order that is actually shipped and know that the funds are approved for the entire order amount.

I hope this didn't confuse you.

It is only confusing as I haven't seen it (visual person here!) Do I need to do anything with Paypal or do I merely set it up here on the store? I like the idea of processing the order this way it "sounds" like a good solution.

Start by setting it up on NS first. Our customers are mostly hospitals or large medical facilities. The main problem we have with paypal is that when they place an order on our site using their own credit card. Paypal wants the name on the card to match the ship to address. If the card owner is using their own card to place the order and then having the items shipped to where they work, PayPal will not validate the shipping address. There is a way to change the settings on your PayPal account to allow these types of purchases however, it removes any liability from PayPal....

We usually call to confirm the shipping info prior to completing the order.

I have customers that place their orders online and then call in their credit card information. But I see no option for this feature on the new platform. Can someone help me?

I don't see LinkPoint API....does that mean LinkPoint API doesn't work?

It worked with MCv4....but does this mean I now have to get a new provider?

Phew!!

Question - Have you seen issues where coupon codes or gift certificates throw off the order total and cause LinkPoint API authorizations to be rejected because of 'invalid totals'?

We just migrated and I am seeing these this AM. Somehow it looks like the total isn't being sent properly to LPAPI or something.

Thoughts?

TIA

Ok, looks like this is a ticket....

Our order totals aren't transferring correctly to LinkPoint API when coupons or discounts are applied. As a result, LinkPoint API is regularly returning a SGS-002301 error code. I worked with Ray in support on this for about 30 min and, ultimately, we had to open a ticket because we couldn't resolve it.

We did, however, check our product pricing and we don't believe there was anything unusual (odd number of decimal places etc. that could cause rounding errors).

Looking forward to a resolution.

TIA
