Our shopping cart has an 86% abandon rate this week! Prior to this week the abandon rate was 38%. We have changed nothing on our site in the past month.

This rate stayed up yesterday (84%), too, even though NS claims that all the various server problems are are now fixed...

Anyone have any idea what the heck is going on, or experiencing the same problem?

I know our site has been up and down all week, but I'm not sure why that would drive abandoned carts (seems like you shouldn't be able to get partway through checkout if the site is down). I've called NS several times and can't get an explanation.

I noticed that last week and we are having some this week.
Last week because of all the problems but only a few of the customers actually came back and bought.
We lost money overall.

Are you on v7? I am wondering if it is because in v7's checkout, step 2 is "Shipping & Coupons", and there is an area for entering coupon code. I know when I shop online, when I see a couple code area, I always stop completing the transaction, and try to search or hunt for the coupon code. I really, really don't like this on the v7 checkout cart, and I am very disappointed that this can not be removed. I already logged a suggestion for Netsol to remove and make this code optional in their next release. This is an area of concern for me in v7.

Hi JennyP,

If you do not want to have the coupon code box you would then simply need to remove all coupon codes from your site. If you do not have any then this will not show up in checkout.

Hi Joe,

I actually don't have any active coupon codes that can be entered in.

I do have coupon code links that can only be emailed or linked to a site. I use these links for our affiliate program to track their orders, the link does not have any discount in it, but allows us to track the sales to our partner sites. Do I have to delete all these links? If so, how do we track affiliate program in v7?

I was wondering if someone could tell me where to find the abandon cart percentage in v7? We went live yesterday and I can't seem to find it in the v7 admin.

The new site is www.tooltopia.com if interested. Thanks for any pointers on the abandon cart percentage.
