Hi sossupply,

This is an advanced feature where you would have to take the nsscript listed for that group and add it to a specific custom page, or html section that you wish (top, bottom, left, right...)

You would then need to use custom css to style the output as you wish.

I am planning on using this feature to front load content to my home page (for starters)...for example:

-Take 10% off featured cocktail shakers (4 days)
changes to
-Martini recipe contest...check it out (10 days)
changes to
-Get free shipping on any order (5 days)
changes to
-Just in! New martini glasses...check them out (3 days)
changes to

I would not use this on products, but for updating (pre-loaded) content. That is my take.

My enthusiasm about this feature is that we can "think ahead" and load content that will update without having to be online and working to make the changes when we want them.

Another example specific to my site...I could create a "martini of the day" page - and preload 100 martini recipes that will automatically change daily without my daily intervention. I can also push them via RSS to content subscribers...hmmm, do I hear "iPhone" app?

Again - I love that we have this now!

Hi QMV,

This will not work in the product details pages through the product layout design. You also can't put it in the products description.

The areas that it can be used in you will see it in the drop down of available NS Script options for that html section.

The main areas that this was designed for was anything in the pages section of your MCP and html areas of Design >> Site Design.

Hope this helps

I am having trouble inserting the Timed Content code onto pages. When I am editing a page and I select where I was to insert the nsScrip, I select the item I have created in Timed Content, but when I press insert nothing happens and IE has the little "Error on Page" displayed in the lower left hand corner of the browser. Do you guys know what I am doing wrong or if there is a problem with this functionality.

When you insert the Content from the drop down menu, it actually places it in as HTML code, which isn't viewable from the WYSIWYG editor itself.
I know in FireFox you can click where you want to insert it, Press insert. Nothing visible happens, but adds the code to the HTML in the background. Once you save and view your page it should show up (assuming the timed content you supplied is currently set up to show at this time). I would assume it works the same in IE.
You can also view HTML first, find where you want to place the content, insert it there and you will see the script get added. Then save and it should work.
I hope this information helps.
