How do you change the order number that shows up on the invoices?

Nothing says new business like Order #1 on an invoice

Also, in the next version, you'll be able to increase it yourself.

My question on this topic of Order Number: I have changed my order numbering once or twice in the past. When I hover over the Order Number Link on the Orders page, the url of that link shows what would have been the order number if I didnt change the Order numbering. How can we get those url's to be consistent with the new order number. It also pulls that link into my google reports, so if I want to know who came to the site to lookup their order - well you probably know what happens - yep, can't find the order unless I hover over each order number.

Order number and Order ID are two different things. The number shown in the URL is the Order ID and currently there is no way to make these the same based on the way the cart is written.

Can someone please tell me where, and IF it's even possible, to change the order number so it doesn't start at 1. I'm almost ready to launch my store and want to increase it. Someone posted before that we were going to be able to do that back in June but I don't see anywhere in the admin where it's possible.

Thanks.

Thanks David. It's 5:30 on a Friday and I'm ready to GO HOME! Guess I'm just a bit blind right now. (IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)
