Greetings everyone!

I have a semi-experienced web designer helping me with my site. She was new though, to intergrating PayPal. I do not have PayPal WebPayments Pro, but have heard there was a way to set up CCs directly on the site.

So.
She did it.
Only, we keep getting the same error messages.

Transaction ID Amount Action Status Reason Date Gateway Code Gateway Response
$1.10 Authorize Error 11/15/2009 7:07 PM
10002 You do not have permissions to make this API call

She thought it might be because the paypal email address & website solutions address did not match. I fixed that- same issue.

Does anyone have insight/experience on this? It shows up like it is going to work - but then it fails (IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I asked her for a summary and this is what she wrote:

I followed the line by line instructions at both PayPal and Network Solutions® about how to set up the API. I tried both the email addys you have accounts on PP and I tried the 2 different APIs that were available on the PP account attached to this email addy. The API that is directed under Operations, Payments, didn’t work and neither did the PayPal API that was generated over at PP. I expected that one not to work but both your Express Pay and Direct Pay are set up and enabled using the same API as directed by NS. Express Pay is working and PP Direct Pay isn’t working.

There may be some security certificate or fraud stuff in place that I’m missing but it’s not clear if there is something there that needs to be addressed before the PP Direct/NS interface will work.

HTH,

Diane
