It worked. I started a new thread about the export import process.

This is pathetic. I am here on the forums after wasting hours with quickbook and v7 MCP issues nearly a year after they were first posted and I am shocked to find the same issues STILL exist? And NS could care less about addressing this issue leaving us scrambling to piece together a workaround we need to spend time and money on to fix ourselves?

I don't understand, why do we put up with this? So frustrated with Network Solutions that I want to leave. How easy it would be for them to address this issue, write up a step by step guide for new users and another for existing v4 users that migrated to version 7.

Arrrrg!!!!!!!

It has been this way since it's inception, I do not see it changing in the near or quite honestly, distant future.

I spoke to Intuit recently and was told by them that their web connect product works well with other e-commerce hosting products. They said the problem is on this end not theirs. My guess is that maybe NS doesn't know how to resolve this issue and is waiting on Intuit for assistance?? Co-incidentally Intuit is now hosting web sites.

It should not be NetSol who decides how we use out Quickbooks integration. For me it is basically unusable since it does not use part numbers. I feel that whole thing is ridiculous. We should at least have the ability to choose what we want to use as the identifier and it certainly would not be the name.
In response to ... "The tech I spoke to today told me that Intuit (Quickbooks parent) wrote the integration and that NS has no control over its operation. " . That does not sounds right either. I look forward to seeing what intuit really is saying

On the same note, when importing orders why is there a new number used and not the original order number.

Can you confuse us any more!! How about looking at the shopping cart from our perspectve for a while.

I am also having the same issue and we have refused to integrate because of this problem, creating new part numbers is unacceptable. I have tried to keep up regular correspondence with them on this and there is a guy (Steve?) who is completely aware of the issue and says he is desperate to get it fixed and that it is being discussed with management. All i can say, is i hope it gets fixed soon because this could save some man hours of entering orders manually and so on.

What needs to happen is that you select what is the unique identifier and that you choose whether to import or export product details, because i don't want quickbooks sending information to the web store that i don't want on there but i do want the products from my web store being associated with my products in Quickbooks, obviously Item Number would be the most obvious or another option for some people could be barcode, if it has to be unique, of course, they would need to add a field in the web data that allows for barcode, this wouldn't have to show on the website either.
