I have a .py file in the cgi-bin directory and the first line is #!/usr/bin/python but it does not recognize the Python script. I feel like I'm missing something. Help!

The python script I found in your package is working .../cgi-bin/test.py

The two things you need for a Python script:
  1. The Shebang (i.e. #!/usr/bin/python)
  2. Permisions set to 755 on the file (Unix only)
