If your windows package has been migrated to a Windows 2008/2012 server and your formmail scripts are throwing a 500 error, you most likely need to add a section defining the settings for http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/. Example code follows (This example is classic ASP code, not ASP.Net).

CODE
Set myEmail = Server.CreateObject("CDO.Message")
schemasURL = "http://schemas.microsoft.com/cdo/configuration/"
With myEmail.Configuration.Fields
.Item(schemasURL & "sendusing") = 2
.Item(schemasURL & "smtpserver") = "localhost"
.Item(schemasURL & "smtpconnectiontimeout") = 10
.Item(schemasURL & "smtpserverport") = 25
.Item (schemasURL & "smtpusessl") = False
.Item (schemasURL & "smtpconnectiontimeout") = 60
.Update
End With
myEmail.From = "you@example.com"
myEmail.To = "someone@example.com"
myEmail.Subject = "Feedback from website"
myEmail.TextBody = "My Message"
myEmail.Send
Set myEmail = Nothing

Well, this must be a first!

NetSol being proactive in providing a solution to a problem that is likely to come up with migrated users, such as me.

Thanks, it works! (IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
