I am getting 1/4 less traffic now and less conversions due to the migration and most of my natural listing has gone away in the 100's pages. I knew this was going to happen but I rather for it to happen now then later. I do believe it will take few weeks from them to come back to there natural positioning.

I want to know if anyone else from the migration has felt this?

Any experiences please share.

Thanks.

Good question, still early, but our traffic has been about the same. Have noticed fluctuation in keyword phrases though and also, seems like Yahoo and MSN are improving.

Yes, we noticed a movement in yahoo. Like you said it is too early, but we noticed a drop in google. We have a program that tracks our keywords in each search engine. We believe it will be few weeks until we get back with google.

Any time a site goes through a major change, there is potential for a short-term drop in rankings. With the nature of this migration, I would be very shocked if any drop you've experienced lasted for more than a couple weeks.

Seems to be about the same in G. Y is up, but we just fed em some short descriptions last week, MSN or Live is no where to be found and basically dropped off the face of the earth the last week. We have seen some activity from AOL, ASK, & Search don't really do much, but Search seems to like the new cart.

It will be interesting 2 months from now.

Same here it will be interesting to see how we place in a couple months. We also saved our pre-migration placement and hope to see improvements where it was possible.

Yes, we fell also in MSN and no where to be found for top keywords.
What desctiptions did you feed to Google and Yahoo?
Also did you make any changes in seo/description of products or meta tags/descriptions?

Please comment if you website's full domain name is coming up for a keyword without extention in google or yahoo. Meaning if you put Poker Chips that the name of your website comes up only without the link to your category. If so please let me know what keyword your using and your website name. This is for my research.

Thanks.

Our placement in google for key words "316 mission fish" was #2 prior to migration and dropped off the first page for a while but I see now it has regained its prior placement. We are tracking many off our products/key words to assure placement is the same or better with v7

key word "bass tackle" page 2

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls...art=10&sa=N

We find it more important to optimize the product pages for direct searches rather than the home page for general searches.

This happened when I came over from yahoo stores in January, once google crawled my site after the switch over I was back to my original ranking(s)

My website (with no extension) is #6 in yahoo and #10 in google for keyword "polish pottery". It was migrated a month and a half ago and did drop a little for a couple weeks.
