Well since the update Thur Google says

Outcome: Data feed upload failure
Number of items processed: 0
Number of inserted items: 0
Uploaded at: May 1, 2009 8:00:00 PM MST
Processed at: May 1, 2009 8:30:37 PM MST

"There are more tabs in this row than in your header (first) row. You may have extra tabs."

For every line item on the auto feed.

Any ideas why?

Worked fine up to Wed night, we have made no changes to any settings?

Dave

This is currently logged as a bug. Attributes are causing extra tabs to be inserted at the end of the feed.

Download the file from your file manager and open it in excel. Delete the 10 columns to the right of the last column with a header value. Then the file will be accepted.

Dave, I ran into the same thing with OpenOffice the first time I edited a copy of your feed. However, I found that if I did not scroll past column V that it allowed me to remove the columns necessary (L through U) without freezing. It did freeze on me any time I scroll past column AA, both before and after I removed the blank columns. I did not have any related issues when using Excel 2003, so it appears to be OpenOffice specific for some reason.

I went ahead and uploaded the copy I edited to the feeds folder in your file manager (parkeryamaha_GBase_Edited.csv) if you want to use it. I did not generate a fresh copy, I just downloaded the one that you generated yesterday.

HTH,
John

My bad, I'll update and re-upload. I'm too used to working with import/export files.

Re-uploaded. I just used the wrong extension the first time.
Reason for edit: Uploaded corrected file.

The temp fix is.

Download the file from your file manager and open it in excel. Delete the 10 columns to the right of the last column with a header value. Save it to the same file structure as G Accepts and upload.
Then the file will be accepted.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now as seen in my post above, we use Open Office and it crashed and hung, so hope it works better for others. But tech was able to get ours updated that day.

this is just wonderful.....the only feed that "actually" works is about to expire and there is no date for this "fix". Bang up job NS!

I have no idea what you mean about deleting columns, because everytime I do, it just generates new ones, hense deleting does nothing, and is not a fix (in Excel).

So how about hooking it up like you hooked up the Yamaha dealer? I have stuff to sell!!, without this feed I'm tanking hard! Thanks for messing up something that was working fine (for us)! (IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/angry.gif)

Why don't you just make a fix back to a previous version, than make us wait till...JUNE!?...omfg.

This is totally unacceptable (IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/angry.gif)

The problem is that the feed contains extra tabs. Deleting the columns deletes those tabs. So while columns will replace those that you have deleted because that is how excel works, the feed should be importable because the columns with the extra tabs will have been removed.

(IMG:http://forums.networksolutions.com/style_emoticons/default/beta.gif) another bug would be that while in "Home > Inventory > Product Feeds" deletes fail alot. However, in the File Manager the files being deleted, do not exist. Just FYI.

This is also fixed in the delayed maintenance release. If you don't want to wait they will delete without error if you remove the attributes.

The workaround is higher up this thread. The new release date for the maintenance release hasn't been decided yet. When the date is available it will be posted in the announcements section of the forum and in the news section of the MCP.
