OK I have been analizing and optimizing some pages and here are some SEO issues I have ran into.
QUOTE
1. Your Title tag is not the first tag in the <HEAD> area of your page! Your Title tag should be placed before all other tags, otherwise search engines may overlook it which will significantly damage your rankings.

Also the image alternate text does not display on main image on product page.
QUOTE
2. Your keyword is not present in the first 3 ALT image attributes on your page (or there are no ALT attributes at all)! If you have images on your page, put the keyword in one of these ALTs as they are considered more important than the rest of the ALTs on your page. Even though ALT tags haven't gained much importance with Google, the Yahoo! and Windows Live search engines pay much more attention to them.

The Product title even though placed at the top of the page isn't being found by the spider
QUOTE
3. Your keyword is not present at the beginning of this page! Early appearance of your keyword shows its importance in the context of the entire page because it is mentioned at the very beginning We recommend that keywords be placed in the first 50 words in the visible text of this page.

Are these known issues?? Are do you believe they are issues??

They are and they won't do anything. I'd be suprised if they even answer you. Before getting migrated to this platform, we were in the top 10 for about just about any phrase we were going for and now we aren't even in the top 50. I guess it's poor programming which is why I am comtemplating leaving. I actually just wrote a mock site for my industry which is about 3 weeks old and it has better serps now that my old site which is over 4 years ago.

Since Search Engine Optimization is never an exact science, I always take any scan results like these with a grain of salt and look at them carefully for their accuracy and the benefits they can give you. I can't answer all of your questions, but I did want to mention one detail.

The main product image in our software does indeed have ALT information and you should definitely make use of it. I note that the scan results you quoted above states that your keyword is not present in the first 3 ALT image attributes, but it does not specify that any of those 3 are your main product image. It may be looking at your logo or your navigation images or your category module headers.

I checked this product -
http://www.basstackledepot.com/spro-little-john-md.aspx
- and I can see that the main product image does in fact have an ALT element, but it does not look like you have entered anything.
CODE
<img src="/images/products/display/littlejohnmd.jpg" title="" alt="" border="0">

To add ALT content, edit this product and click on the Gallery tab. Then click edit for your main image and you will see Alternate Text: at the top of this page.

I hope this helps.

I'm sorry that our products and services are not meeting your needs. Please point out any "poor programming" you can see in detailed specifics. As always, we take beneficial feedback and well-detailed constructive criticism seriously.

Have you tried viewing the source?

That is what I see. Perhaps your browser (Firefox?) is trying to use the Title attribute for the tooltip rather than the ALT. I think that's what Firefox does by default. On the category page, there is no Title. Regardless, the ALT is there on the product page just like it's supposed to be. I hope that helps.
