I have key worded meta worded ect... and I might say individually on each product until I realised that if I did not leave this for a go back to task I would never get any loaded.

Is there an easier way?

Also, with respect to all the seo add on how long does it take to get some notice by the search engines.

Regards,
Jim

Hi Jim,

Using the import/export feature for products you can go in and edit all of your keywords and descriptions using a CSV. Also in terms of how long it will take for a Search Engine to pick up your site there is really no set exact answer. First thing is first though is get all of your content ready for your site first including keywords. Then once that is ready to go you will want to submit your sites to the search engines. Once that is done, you will also want to be working to get links from other sites in your related field to your site also. Then when ever the Search Engines do hit your site you will start to see your site rise in the rankings. Note though even some of the best SEO practices can take months to notice a difference. I would plan on at least 3-6 months before you see any giant leap into the Search Engines if you have not had any established web presence before.

Also to comment on this if you are not really sure what to do next for your Online Marketing we have a great Do it Yourself product that can help you through this process called SEV (Search Engine Visibility). If you are interested in this simply go to marketing.networksolutions.com and you can find information about any of our marketing products.

I have noticed that as long as the meta tags are constructed properly, only using "keywords" that are actually on the same page as the tag, results won't take nearly as long to start showing up. Keep in mind that to go from nonexistant to showing up in the top 10 pages is very good. The goal is to be on the first 3 pages (top 30) then to get into the first page (top 10).

What we do is to determine what keywords to use, do a google search and see who is showing up for those words. Check out their pages and actually count how many times the keyword is listed. See if the keyword is part of the page link. The trick is to think of search words/phrases that are really close to the most popular ones but are not as common.
