I've made a few observations after Google changed their ways a few weeks ago.
My main keyword is "gymnastics leotards."
I noticed that any new questions asked on Yahoo answers relating to "gymnastics leotards" will post about half way down on page one for a matter of days, then will drop as the question ages.
Today my market samurai SEO comparison shows an eBay listing for a gymnastics leotard in position 4. Yes, position 4!!!! For an eBay listing... and why that eBay listing??? I do not know for sure, but it appears to be a listing in an eBay store, not an auction.
There is also a gymnastics message board that is fairly large and popular.... a huge site with all the topics in it. This message board is about gymnastics, not about "gymnastics leotards". But, today it jumped up to page 1, position 8 for the keyword "gymnastics leotards." The forum utilizes Google advertising, displaying Google Adword advertisements.
In the number 10 slot on page one, is a You Tube video titled "gymnastics leotards." This video has under 4,000 views, so it is not very popular in a You Tube sense.
There is also a site in position 6 that is a nothing but a front page that redirects to the "real" website. The domain age is not available!!!!!
webpage: http:// gymnasticsleotards .net (you'll have to remove the spaces)
The page does not have many positive factors, except for the domain name. Looking at the market samurai report, it really looks like it has no business in the number 6 slot. So, why does Google like it so much?????
This tends to make me think that Google is now in cahoots with Yahoo, eBay, and You Tube. And, of course lots of brownie points if you have Google advertising on your site. If this is true, it is very disturbing!!! But, maybe they would resort to this if the economy is affecting them?.....
Makes me want to post on Yahoo Answers, set up an eBay store, utilize Google Adwords, and make You Tube videos all about my leotards! I also have
http://www.gymnastics-leotards.biz registered, but no website. Perhaps I should have that domain redirected to my current site? Any advice on that?
