I always read that product reviews are very helpful for SEO because they bring fresh content. However, in our shopping platform, is this true considering they are generated on the fly? The same goes for related products.

I know I am probably being ignorant, but anyone's advise would be appreciated.

Even though they are 'generated on the fly', it is still a static page that is seen by SE and customers alike. In fact the entire apsx page is generated on the fly.

I don't use reviews so I don't know how they effect the rankings. I personally would be concerned that they might 'water down' my content unless the review has keyword rich text. Just my 3 cents.
