As you may be aware, Network Solutions has temporarily deactivated their API in order to perform server maintenance, and as a result you may not be able to import your Network Solutions orders via the Internet. According to Network Solutions, this disruption is expected to last through this coming Monday, August 24, 2009.

To prevent an interruption in the processing of your customer's orders, please follow these steps:
1) from within your Network Solutions store, export an XML file of your customers' orders
2) save this XML file in your Stone Edge Order Manager New Orders folder
3) from within the Order Manager, import orders via text file

Detailed instructions on the import process can be found in the Stone Edge Knowledge Base at: http://www.stoneedge.com/help/OM_DOC/Order...ting_Orders.htm

Should you need any additional assistance, please contact us at support@stoneedge.com or 610-994-3699.

I'm not a Stone Edge user, but I'm impressed with your proactive notification on how to work around the interruption.

As of this AM, the API is still down. Here is the latest from Network Solutions, in case you have not seen it:

Dear Network Solutions Customer,

Last week we deactivated the Public API application due to routine scheduled maintenance. We have since discovered that there might be some correlation between the use of the API application and the site slowness our customers have been experiencing. In order to better clarify the issue and resolve the problems, we will be keeping the API application deactivated which will help us investigate any role the API might have in any connectivity or slowness issues for our customers. We will give an update on Thursday morning (08/27/09) on the progress.

We again thank you for your continued patience and support,

Sincerely,

The Network Solutions Ecommerce Team
