Hi everyone,
We have just finished redesigning our site (Do you ever finish?)
I know that the busy Holiday Season is approaching, but we will appreciate a quick review and honest feedback!
Thank you in advance,
FrontRow
Dont have much time as I am waiting to board a flight, but I'll add a few bits...
First let me say that your site looks absolutely wonderful from an aesthetic standpoint. The design is current, appealing and very professional.
>Site is a little slow to load...but considering I am at a foreign airport wi-fi, that could be the issue.
>I would suggest a bit more variation on page titles off of your home page. Not sure if your company name is the best text at the front of your homepage links
>Alt text on your logo is "Frontrow electronics" - suggest changing that to a more key dense (and searched) term..."experts in electronics" - "best source for home electronics" - "HD TV expert"...not sure if those terms are accurate, but I'm sure you get my thought process?
>Love the graphics on your home page, but I had to "search" to find what to click on to get to the products/categories. Instead of image mapping the (right facing) arrows or just a word in the text - I would suggest making the entire box clickable (headphones, home theater systems, Ipod & MP3)...
--Make the "clickable" text underlined or different color.
--I kept moving to the middle of the graphic and trying to click. Of all the "clickable" items in each graphic, I was drawn to trying to click on the only non-clickable area. Sad, but true...and I am pretty experienced at this stuff!
>Here is a nitpick - on your "customer service" link...the "company info" link has a period at the end - the rest of the links do not
>Ditch the live links on the "contact us" link - and create a good looking contact form. Live links freak people out generally...they click on the link and a (generally unused) application launches - and they halt. A contact form is much better. Additionally, live links are usually cultivated by spam-bots and receive tons of spammy emails.
>Add a true "about us" page...include lots of key dense content. "Why are you the source & experts for this product"..."Why purchase from you"...etc..
>Increase the size of your contact phone number...emphasize "toll free" customer support
>Include some sort of name after testimonials. Customer testimonials weigh considerably in sales these days, but anonymous testimonials are generally considered to be B.S. (yes..bull-puckey)
>Add a glossary of terms for additional content...you can link to it from your product descriptions. SEO loves deep linking to key words and terms
>On your "free shipping" page, the graphic at the top looks like a 3D clickable button...suggest changing this.
>Instead of the text, "always free shipping" - I would suggest touting, "Free shipping on every order"
>Add a blog or articles related to your products...become a "credible expert" on your products - tips, tricks, suggestions, answers, solutions...etc
Hope that helps! Great site.
Cheers.
